Staples and Office Depot are looking into purchasing OfficeMax. This would be a home run for both companies and would help reduce cost by up to 400 million per year by reducing redundant services.
OfficeMax is a target of take over because of positive cash flow and low margins. Analysist say that Staples and Office Depot would not be interested in purchasing the stores which could present a challenge in the deal going through. This will be interesting to follow.
